I've been looking for answers to some basic questions about life ever since I was a kid. How do interpersonal relations really work? Why is it such a mystery when people treat you badly when you had good intentions toward them? Why do I get stuck doing things again and again that I know are not good for me? What is really going on here?
I had lots of these questions about many areas of living. I looked far and wide for answers. Psychology only had silly experiments that, at best, gave observations of what was happening. It was confusing and never had any answers to questions about life. Eastern philosophies had some interesting and enlightening elements but still didn't give workable solutions to the problems of life.
Less than three years ago I discovered Scientology. I bought a book by L. Ron Hubbard that our library was selling. I read it and saw that it made sense so I phoned the closest Church of Scientology for information on how to get more of this. The person I spoke with told me that the best thing for me at my stage was to do a personality test and that the results of that test would tell me what course in Scientology I should take for my particular needs. I did that and was routed onto the "Improving Relationships With Others" course. This small course taught me some really big stuff about life and gave me the tools to deal with a very big problem I had at that time.
Since then I've taken many more courses. The result? Every piece of Scientology data I've encountered has proven to be valid and beneficial for me in my life. It's really remarkable that so much useful truth can be available from one source.
Life is broad and complicated. The Scientology material I've used has helped me in many areas. It would be hard for me to list all the ways that it has helped me. Here are a few:
1. It has helped me to communicate well. I can now see what is needed to make a good communication occur. If there is a problem happening in a verbal exchange, I can spot what is going wrong and I am able to fix it.
2. It has helped me with living day to day. When things get dull or boring or troublesome, I know how to spot what's wrong and I have the ability to make it right.
3. It has taught me how to understand things clearly and also how to rehabilitate a subject that has been unlearnable to me before. I can now tackle any valid subject and zero in on its basics quickly and I can know the subject from the ground up very quickly.
4. Scientology teaches the basic facts of suppression and how to handle it when it comes your way. From this training I'm now able to spot very early when someone is getting on my case and I very quickly let that person know that instead of my being the effect of his bad intentions, I will be on him and making it rough for him to be around me. In other words he becomes the effect of me and soon tires of this game and decides that being civil is much easier on him.
5. All the gains I've had add up to a much more confident person. I know I can handle any situation that will come my way. Life is now an exciting game in which I choose the adventurous instead of the safe option and have a lot of fun doing it. I've met the woman of my dreams and we're talking of marriage.
These are only a few of the wins and gains that are directly attributable to Scientology. I could go on and on. But have a look for yourself. Read an entry level book and get some of the true dope on life. You'll know the truth when you see it ... and you're going to love it!
